Запрошуємо Вас взяти участь у роботі конференції, яка відбудеться 14 квітня 2016 р. в Інституті української археографії та джерелознавства ім. М. С. Грушевського НАН України (Київ, вул. Трьохсвятительська 4, Зала засідань вченої ради).

The Israeli Inter-University Academic Partnership in Russian and East European Studies is offering a small number of highly competitive postdoctoral fellowships in the field of Russian and East European Studies for the 2016-2017 academic year. The fellowships are offered to researchers across the Humanities and Social Sciences, broadly defined, and will be awarded on the basis of academic excellence. Postdoctoral fellowships are offered to young scholars who have received their PhD degree no earlier than 2011 and no later than December 2015. The fellows will be selected by an international academic committee and then placed in one of the partner universities (Bar-Ilan University, Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Haifa University, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv University). Postdoctoral fellows will be awarded up to 87,500 NIS per year (equivalent to approximately $23,000). These grantees will be required to present two public lectures at their host institution during the fellowship year and participate in the partnership’s activities and events. The fellowships will entail a teaching commitment [one course] at the host university.  Applicants are requested to submit their curriculum vitae (no longer than four pages), a detailed statement of current research interests (up to 2000 words), one writing sample (no more than 25 pages) and two letters of recommendation (to be submitted directly by the recommenders by e-mail to: iuap@post.tau.ac.il). Простягнена поміж Україною та Румунією Буковина, багатокультурна Трансильванія з численною угорською меншиною, Хрушов та Великий Кртіш між Словаччиною та Угорщиною, а також Любушанська земля на польсько-німецькому пограниччі – це чотири напрями, які об’єднали новий навчальний проект Європейської Мережі Пам’ять та Солідарність. Проект “InBetween? В пошуках локальної історії на пограниччах Європи” заохочує молоде покоління Європи пізнати історію ХХ століття за допомогою розмови з її безпосередніми учасниками. Приймальний процес триватиме до 5 лютого 2016 року.

This program aims to support excellent young researchers in the humanities and social sciences from the Siberian, Ural and Far-Eastern federal districts, and the Voronezh, Lipetsk, Belgorod, Ryazan and Kaluga regions. Research topics related to the IWM main research fields are highly encouraged (http://www.iwm.at/research/). Fellows will be invited to spend a six-month research term at the IWM between July 2016 and June 2017 and receive a stipend to cover all expenses related to their stay in Vienna. They will work on their own research projects while staying in residence at the IWM in Vienna. The IWM provides fellows with an office incl. access to internet, in-house research and administrative facilities as well as other services free of charge.

The program supports translations of canonical texts, contemporary key works in the humanities, social sciences and cultural studies from Eastern to Western European languages or vice versa, or between two Eastern European languages. Special emphasis is put on translations of relevant works written by East European authors and/or female scholars. No applications for works of fiction and poetry are being accepted.

Fellows will spend 3 – 6 months between July 2016 and June 2017 at the IWM in Vienna and receive a monthly stipend of EUR 2,050 to cover all expenses related to the stay in Vienna. The IWM provides fellows with an office incl. access to internet, in-house research and administrative facilities as well as other services free of charge.

The Józef Tischner Fellowship is open to all academic disciplines in the humanities and social sciences; a thematic relation to one of the Institute’s research fields is strongly encouranged (details pls see on  www.iwm.at/research). The Józef Tischner Fellow will be invited to spend a six-month term from July to December 2016 at the IWM and receive a stipend of EUR 1,800 per month to cover all expenses related to the stay in Vienna. In addition, the IWM provides her/him with an office including access to internet, in-house research and administrative facilities as well as other services free of charge.
