The conference “Technological and industrial safety issues in Ukraine and the World (dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster)” is aimed at the discussion of a wide range of issues related to: the study of environmental, energy, and industrial security in Ukraine and the broader world; the unknown pages of the Chernobyl disaster and the process of overcoming its consequences, namely the resolution of economic, political, psychological and social problems related to the 1986 accident; historical examples of other technical and industrial disasters and their resolution; and examples of international cooperation in addressing the consequences of industrial and technical accidents.

      Working languages: Ukrainian, Russian, English.

      Place: Zaporizhzhya National University, Zaporizhzhya, Ukraine

* The accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, its consequences, and the resolution of the consequences (domestically and internationally).

* The Chernobyl disaster as a factor in the collapse of the USSR and the attainment of Ukrainian sovereignty and independence.

* The Chernobyl disaster in modern culture.

* Global technological safety: threats and ways to overcome its dangers in today's world.

* Problems of Energy and Environmental Security: The experience of foreign countries.

* Technical, technological, and industrial disasters past and present.

* The humanitarian, social, economic and political aspects of technological and industrial disasters.

* International cooperation in the resolution of technological, technical, and industrial accidents.

Organization fee is 15 EURO (publishing costs).

      Accommodation, food, and travel costs will be borne by the participants themselves.

    

      The conference proceedings will be published before the beginning of the conference.

REQUIREMENTS FOR PAPERS

     Text of the articles (the abstract and key words in Ukrainian, Russian and English) shall be made in accordance with the requirements of the scholarly publication.

     Papers should contain the following elements:

     - Statement of the research question or problem and methodology used;

     - Brief literature review, which details what has been done on the topic, what remains to be done, and what one is planning to do in the current paper;

     - Formulation of the article’s purpose or statement of the problem;

     - Summary of main results with full justification of scientific results;

     - The current study’s conclusions and recommendations for further research on the topic;

     - Information about the author.

     

     Editorial board of conference materials reserves the right not to print articles, the quality and content of which does not meet the requirements and the topic of the conference.

     

     Size: up to 20 000 symbols for the paper itself, references, and summary (spaces included). (approximately 5-6 pages)

     Format: Microsoft Word 7 or earlier (please make sure to save your files in *.doc, not in *.docx), Times New Roman 12”, single spacing, 20 mm margins

     Layout requirements:

     1) ULC (universal library code) to be indicated in the first row on the left;

     2) 1 spacing below, Italic, to the right: author’s first and last name;

     3) 1 spacing below, paper’s title in capitals, centered;

     4) 1 spacing below, Italic, justified, summary and keywords in English;

     5) 1 spacing below, justified – the text (1.25 paragraph indention)
